Droid Version 1.1 of 01-Aug-2006 by David A. Wallace ("davewa") File's URL: http://www.wa1gsf.net/downloads/models/droid_1r1.zip Compatibility: Tested in Poser 5 and Poser 6 (PC). An expert can probably adapt it for use in Poser 4. DESCRIPTION: This is a "droid" (robot) prop based loosely on the Lucasfilm Star Wars series technology. New in Version 1.1: The droid's grown an antenna and an articulated arm (which, on the prop is shown in the "stowed" position) and the proportions of the body have been tweaked. Also, the prop now loads face-forward with all rotate dials set to zero. INSTRUCTIONS: 1. I'm assuming you un-zip this distribution to your Poser directory (e.g.: c:\Program Files\Curious Labs\Poser 5). This will result in the following files and directories being created: ...\readme's\davewa\droid_readme.txt ...\runtime\libraries\props\davewa\droid\droid.pp2 ...\runtime\libraries\props\davewa\droid\droid.png ...\templates\davewa\droid\droid.bmp 2. Open Poser and go to your props library. You should find a davewa folder. If you open that, you'll find a droid folder. Inside that is the droid prop. 3. The texture template is at the indicated place. You'll have to make your own textures. If you want "factory fresh", though, the default materials will serve. 4. NOTE: This will over-write version 1.0 -- take appropriate measures if you wish to keep the old version. LEGAL STUFF (EULA) This distribution is free. Since this prop is based on the Star Wars movies' "technology" and has that distinctive look and feel, commercial use of this model is forbidden. You may not redistribute the ZIP file nor any of the files it contains nor any work from which these files may be extracted (e.g.: a PZ3 file).
